Family-Friendly Co-living & Farmstay

Pachamama Retreat offers a year-round co-living experience in Montenegro, Europe, welcoming digital nomads, remote workers, homeschooling families, and artists seeking a slower way of living. Located above Kotor Bay, our eco farmstay blends community life and nature in a peaceful, inspiring environment. We support a healthy lifestyle for the soul, body, and mind, inviting guests to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the natural world.

Many guests come here to work online while living close to nature, others arrive as families seeking an alternative lifestyle and learning environment, and some join as part of an informal artist residency, including writers, musicians, and creators who value a space for exchange and inspiration.

With high-speed Starlink internet, work flows easily from the privacy of your room or within shared spaces alongside others. Children continue their homeschooling while connecting with other families, learning through play and everyday life.

During your stay, daily life is made simple and nourishing. There is no need to think about shopping or cooking, as meals are included and prepared with care, using ingredients sourced in part directly from the garden. This allows you to focus more on your work, your family, and your experience within the community.

Daily life moves with a gentle structure shaped by shared meals, time outdoors, and simple routines. Between work and rest, there is space for yoga, meditation, and occasional activities. Some days bring small adventures like beach visits, hikes, or exploring nearby old towns, with access to the community car.

Evenings are often quiet and relaxed, with light chats, board games, music around the campfire, or cozy movie nights with popcorn.

Living at Pachamama

Community Lifestyle

Life at Pachamama is simple, nourishing, and rooted in community. We value a clear and mindful way of living, creating a calm atmosphere without a focus on regular smoking, drinking, or the use of substances. If you have such habits and feel like taking a break, you will be lovingly supported here. If not, you are welcome to go for a walk to smoke or enjoy a drink in your private space. From time to time, we also share a glass of wine together to celebrate special moments and occasions.

Meals and Food Culture

All stays include three daily vegetarian meals, prepared and shared within the community. Meals are simple, homemade, and nourishing. Some of our vegetables and eggs come directly from the farm, and we also source dairy products from neighboring farmers.

Each adult contributes around one hour per day to community life, mostly connected to food preparation, setting the table, and cleaning up after meals.

We are mindful about food and try to avoid waste, including finishing what is on our plates and using leftovers.

We mainly serve vegetarian meals, with meat and seafood occasionally included, and a vegetarian option always available. We do our best to accommodate dietary needs, though in a shared kitchen it may not always be possible to meet all requirements, so guests with strict needs may need to take some responsibility.

We have one shared kitchen, and individual cooking is not available.

Accommodation and Workspace

Accommodation options include private or shared rooms in the stone house, wooden cabins, or space for campers.

All rooms include a workspace with a comfortable chair, desk, high speed WiFi, and access to a shared printer. A shared working space is also available for those who prefer it.

Transportation and Location

Pachamama is located into a quiet natural setting above Kotor Bay. The nearest beach is about 6 km away, and the main road with bus connections is around 4 km from the property. The towns of Kotor, Tivat, and Budva are all within 12 to 18 km.

To make getting around easier, a community car is available for residents. It can be used privately or shared, upon signing the agreement and covering the related costs.

Rates and Long-Term Stays

The minimum stay is two weeks, allowing time to settle into the rhythm of the community. If your schedule does not allow for a two-week stay and you would like to stay for a shorter period, we will do our best to accommodate you, although we cannot guarantee availability. Our booking system only supports stays of 14 days or longer, so please contact us directly. We will let you know whether a shorter stay (minimum one week) is possible and, if so, complete the booking manually. For stays shorter than two weeks, an additional one-time fee of €100 per adult applies for the entire stay, except for campers.

Prices vary depending on accommodation and season, with full details available in the price list below. Low season runs from November to April, and high season from May to October.

Extended stays of one to three months are supported with discounted rates, offering 20% off for a one-month stay and 30% off for a three-month stay.

For longer stays, we begin with a trial period of up to three months, allowing both you and the community to feel if it is the right fit. After the initial three months, a special rate will be offered based on the accommodation, season, and length of stay.
